BEN Second Russian roundtable and large CBC conference in Petrozavodsk

The second BEN Russian roundtable was arranged together with the large conference "Cross-Border Cooperation between the and the European Union" on the 28-29 September in Petrozavodsk, Karelian Republic of . Event gathered about 170 representatives from national authorities, regional and local authorities, Euroregions and other institutions working with CBC issues between EU and Russia.  Event was organized by the Office of the President of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia and the Nordic Council of Ministers and the BEN project. List of speakers includes such high level representatives as Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of the Russian Federation to the North-West federal district, I. Klebanov, Head of the Republic of Karelia, S. Katanandov, Deputy Minister of the Regional Development of Russia M. Ponomarev, Minister of the Interior of Lithuania R. Šukys, Minister of Regional Affairs of Estonia J. Ounapuu and other prominent speakers from Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Finland, Germany and other EU countries. Second Russian roundtable of Euroregions was arranged as one of sessions during the conference.
