Seminar on CBC and regional development in Malmo

March 15-16, 2007, the BEN project organizes a seminar ”Cross-Border Cooperation and Regional Development” in Malmö, Sweden. Seminar is organized and hosted by the Öresund Committee (DK/SE). The main topics of the seminar are spatial planning, infrastructure and regional development strategies in a cross-border perspective. Öresund region is one of the most advanced cross-border region in the whole Europe , and therefore experiences of this regions, as well as some other of the BEN partners could be valuable for Euroregions/CBC structures in their further involvement in regional development issues. About 50 participants of the seminar represent 35 different BEN partners from 9 countries of the Baltic Sea region. In the framework of the seminar a visit to Copenhagen , to the Secretariat of the Nordic Council of Ministers is planned, where the meeting with the Secretary General of the NCM Mr. Halldor Asgrimsson is foreseen.
