March 15-16, 2007, the BEN project organizeda seminar ”Cross-Border Cooperation and Regional Development” in
Malmö, Sweden. Seminar was organized and hosted by the Öresund Committee (DK/SE). The main topics of the seminar were spatial planning, infrastructure and regional development strategies in a cross-border perspective. Öresund region is one of the most advanced cross-border region in the whole
Europe, and therefore experiences of this regions, as well as some other of the BEN partners are of great value for Euroregions/CBC structures in their further involvement in regional development issues. About 50 participants of the seminar representing different BEN partners from took part in the seminar. In the framework of the seminar a visit to
Copenhagen, to the Secretariat of the Nordic Council of Ministers was arranged, where BEN project partners had a meeting with the Secretary General of the NCM Mr. Halldor Asgrimsson.
